Earlier this month, the Movers and Shakers descended on Brighton in order to drum up enthusiasm for our petition. We're looking for 100,000 signatures in order to guarantee that our Parky Charter – a list of demands/requests that would improve Parkinson's care – gets a debate in Parliament. On this special episode (during our summer break) we report back from the (very rainy) seaside, and catch-up in the Notting Hill pub to look at how the petition is progressing and launch a very special competition which could bring the show to where you – yes, you – live.
Don't forget to sign the Parky Charter petition by going to ParkyPetition.com!

Each week Rory Cellan-Jones guides us between the laughs and moans in the pub. To read Rory's summary of this week's episode click here.

We’re launching a national competition between Parkinson’s groups to push our petition to 100,000 signatures. And the prize? Us! The Movers & Shakers will turn up in the winning area and record a podcast with you. It really is simple...share the QR code with friends, family, colleagues, community groups or hit your local high street.
As promised we have an update on our wonderful campaign T-shirts as shown above. You can buy Rory's fantastic new design (watch out Sarah Baxter!) for a Movers and Shakers T-shirt, complete with QR code, by clicking here. Clicking on the link is a bit hit and miss -if it doesn't work simply paste the link into your browser.
Below is a copy of a template for the leaflets which you can print at home or send to a shop to get printed.
You can see how your area is doing by visiting the petition website and clicking on the map.
Check out our weekly leader board below and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates, tips and stories from the frontline. As of today (14/06/25) we have 44,575 signatures. Can we break the 50,000 mark by next week?

Our petition specifically calls on Secretary of State for health and Social Care, Wes Streeting to fulfil his promises to people with Parkinson's. So it’s really interesting to hear what he said when Gillian caught up with him at the Dopamine Warriors gym in East London.
